I got my first NFT more
than a year back from Crypto.com for free. After that I purchased another 2 NFTs
from the Crypto.com ecosystem. One chimp from Cronos Chimp Club and another art piece from
crypto.com/NFT.
I didn’t really do much
research into these NFTs before my purchase. The reason I purchased these NFT
are 1) They look nice to me and 2) I can afford them.
So these NFT aren't really
for investment but just something that I wanted to keep for myself. Of course it
would definitely be a welcomed bonus if they somehow turn into a multi bagger.
So fast forward 1 year plus
later….. what happens to my NFT now in this current crypto Bear market??
I haven’t really
checked on them since the start of this year but the first good news is that the
development team is still around. Not many NFT development team survived the
crash we experienced this year. So for Cronos Chimp Club to be still around, it's
good enough news for me.
As for the price, it actually increases
in terms of CRO although the price of CRO has dropped quite a lot since then. I
got my Chimp at around 700 CRO and the floor price now is 876 CRO.
For the other NFT from Crypto.com/NFT, I purchased if for $40 USD and its floor price now is $48 USD.
Note that the floor price
is the lowest price people are listing the chimps in the marketplace and it
does not mean you will be able to sell them at these price. Also I have noticed
that the transaction volume for these NFTs has dropped quite significantly in
this Bear market which makes it more difficult to sell these NFTs.
Well so far my
NFTs seems to be doing ok and is not losing as much value as some
of the ALT coins I'm still holding. I guess I will still be holding on to them
until the next bull run comes.
So what do you think? Is the NFT
craze coming back in the next crypto bull run and will the existing NFTs recover
and rebound eventually?
