Having setting up the criteria for my value stock which i described in my earlier post, the next course of action is to identify 20 stocks that best meets these criteria and execute my value portfolio.
I have used SGX screener to help filter out the stocks that has P/B < 1, debt to equity ratio < 30%, dividend > 3%. This filter should reduce the number of stock from 700 + to less than 100. After that i use P/E to shortlist another 30+ stocks to manually to run through the rest of the criteria like payout ratio and consistency in dividend payout.
This takes me about an hour or 2 to generate and come up with 20 value stocks. Below shows the 20 odd stocks which i had filter down based on the above steps. Note that the stocks below are selected around Feb 2016 and you might not get the same list as i have now.
The next step is to buy the stocks....
